February 25 Sad News 本来林住唔再写space，不过今日得知一则很sad的消息，一个朋友的妹妹被其前男友枪杀。林住写低以作提醒。

On February 17, 2009, Amber Cremeens was gunned down by her ex-boyfriend in Wheat Ridge, Colorado; apparently he stalked her from the gym, ran her car off the road and when she lost control of the vehicle and hit a street fence, he got out of his car and shot her point blank. She was 34. He had previously threatened to kill her and her family. The perp has been charged with first degree murder but managed to escape the police before being apprehended. He was spotted in Logan Square area of chicago last friday and after 3 hours of barricading himself at a relative's house, he shot himself. He was found with 3 semi automatic weapons. 在美国经常发生枪击案，同大家倾起计，美国人都觉得好平常。正所谓针唔到肉唔知痛，当尼种事情发生系你身边的人，或者你身边的人的家人身上，就唔会觉得甘平常。觉得心痛可惜之余，我更希望尼种事情能够有一个尽头。比所有女性朋友一个提醒。
Always be aware of your surroundings, do not take unnecessary risks. Your life is more important than anything else. Take threats seriously, even though we see these kinds of news all the time, its not until it hits you or someone you know personally that you realize how real these dangers are. Be supportive to friends and loved ones that are being harrassed or are victims of domestic violence, learn the warning signs of abusive behavior. Report them to authorities or agencies if necessary. |
